In 2020, Dr. T. Hasan Johnson created ONYX Inc, an online-based company that uses research and analysis to uplift Black Boys and Men socially, educationally, and politically.
 

This is accomplished in five primary ways:

1) The production of research on Black Males in the United States.

2) Programmatically developing high school and college-aged Black Males.

3) Written online blog articles and media on contemporary issues relevant to blackness and manhood.

4) The production of relevant audio and visual media content.

5) Taught online courses in Black Male Studies.

• My professional academic writing and online/conference presentations on Black Males.

• The Onyx Black Male Collective is a development program for young men at the college level, while the Patreon-based Onyx Report Film Review Series provides guided film review videos to help parents and guardians develop Black Boys through discussion.

• The New Black Masculinities Online Blog provides relevant articles and other media content on issues pertaining to Black Male experiences and manhood.

• The Onyx Report video online show provides weekly podcast content on Black Male issues and the Black Popular Culture Lecture Series and Online Research Archive is a Fresno State University-based program that interviews celebrities on the humbler beginnings of their work in their chosen fields.

• The Institute for Black Male Studies teaches online courses available to the public in a rare but growing field of study, Black Male Studies!

• The ONYX Network, a television network on both the Roku and Amazon Fire TV platforms, showcases Black Masculinist "media for thinking Black men."
